NLN CNEA RE-AFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO ACCREDIT ALL TYPES AND LEVELS OF NURSING EDUCATION PROGRAMS

The Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (CNEA), the autonomous accreditation division of the National League for Nursing (NLN), accredits programs across the academic spectrum including master’s degrees, post-graduate certificate programs, and practice doctorates.

Guided by the NLN core values of caring, integrity, diversity and inclusion, and excellence, CNEA strives to meet the accreditation needs of all educational programs, including all levels and types of graduate programs offering nurse educator, nurse leader, nurse practitioner programs, or other specialty areas. CNEA is fully committed to providing educational programs with an option for their accreditation needs while allowing programs to best determine how to meet the unique needs of their stakeholders and communities.

CNEA champions inclusiveness and believes that all types of graduate preparation, including those specializing in nursing education, are vital for addressing workforce issues and preparing future nurses. Therefore, CNEA is fully committed to providing accreditation for all programs and all levels of nursing education that meet CNEA accreditation standards.
